The ACCC has announced that it proposes not to allow plans by Caravan Tarde and Industries Association of Queensland (Caravanning Queensland) to offer a loyalty program to members.

The ACCC has authorised Qantas, BP Australia and independent BP petrol stations to ‘collectively participate in the BP Rewards, Qantas Frequent Flyer and Qantas Business Reward programs for five years.’

The ACCC has released its final report on Customer loyalty schemes. It calls for legislative reforms to protect consumers, including in relation to data practices and privacy.
