ACCC refuses authorisation for collective negotiation with broadcasters and streaming platforms

The ACCC has decided not to authorise Screen Producers Australia to “collectively negotiate with television broadcasters and major streaming platforms to develop model terms of trade” and '“collectively resolve model terms amongst itself and its members”. The ACCC was not satisfied the proposed conduct would result in net cost savings and was not persuaded that other claimed benefits were likely to result from the conduct.
