ACCC opposes IAG’s proposed acquisition of RAC WA’s insurance arm

The ACCC will oppose Insurance Australia Group Limited’s proposed acquisition of RAC Insurance Pty Ltd from the Royal Automobile Club of WA. It has concluded the proposed acquisition would “substantially lessen competition in the supply of motor vehicle insurance and the supply of home and contents insurance in Western Australia”.
