New Zealand makes changes to its competition laws

The Commerce Amendment Bill has now passed Parliament in New Zealand and will introduce significant changes to New Zealand’s competition Law. Most notably it will introduce a ‘purpose and effects’ based test for misuse of market power, bringing it closer in step with Australia’s modified MMP law.
