Catriona Lowe to become next Deputy Chair of the ACCC

The Governor General has appointed Catriona Lowe as the new Deputy Chair, to replace outgoing Deputy Chair, Delia Rickard. Catriona will commence her five-year term on 27 January 2023, when Delia Rickard will depart after more than a decade as Deputy Chair. Catriona is currently a board member at the Australian Energy Regulator and has previously served as co-CEO of the Consumer Action Law Centre and has worked at the Consumers’ Federation of Australia and the ACCC.

Catriona was nominated as ACCC Deputy Chair back in July and, following support from states and territories was recommended to the Governor General who has now appointed Ms Lowe.
