ACCC alleges bid rigging by ARM Architecture

The ACCC has commenced proceedings against Ashton Raggatt McDougall Pty Ltd (ARM) alleging they engaged in cartel conduct by attempting to rig bids for the tender of a building project at Charles Darwin University. In part, it alleges that an email sent by ARM’s managing director, AJ Allen, to other architecture firms included the following statement: "Our request to you is simple. Please do not submit a tender as we are relying very heavily on continuing with this project to keep our practice alive throughout the remainder of this strange and difficult COVID time.”
