A quartette of ACCC Chairs

All four Chairs of the ACCC joined together in a roundtable today to discuss their views on pressing issues in competition law and policy in Australia.

The event (Competition law in a changing economy and rise of the digital era: Roundtable with four chairs of the ACCC, past and present) was jointly hosted by the Monash Business School and Monash Faculty of Law. Following opening remarks the event started with a brief keynote from the current chair, Gina Cass-Gottlieb, followed by introductory remarks from her three predecessors:

  • Allan Fels (ACCC Chair, 1995-2003) (and before that Chair of the TPC)

  • Graeme Samuel (ACCC Chair, 2003-2011)

  • Rod Sims (ACCC Chair, 2011-2022)

This was followed by a roundtable discussion moderated by former ACCC Commissioner, Roger Featherston.
